  1. Heresy to the church is a very big sin. Heretics of the church are usually punished very severely. The definition of heresy according to Merriam Webster is adherence to a religious opinion contrary to church dogma. Also heresy is when a person of a religion goes against one of their doctrines or teachings.

  3. Heresy is torture that the church did.The church did this to those who acted against the church.if we look to the definition in any dictionary this would appear,"adherence to a religious opinion contrary to church dogma.” If look look in deep thought to this definition we can see that is a dominant position that the church had. If any act or opinion that you would say or do would been considered heretically. Heresy has existed throughout centuries but in the 12 century popes took a dominant control . Even though the church acted alone they always used the bible in a way to make them be"right". We can see how the Roman Catholic Church have used the bible in Acts 24:14. Another definition of heresy according to the bible is in 2peter 2:1 which says “There will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction.”. The Church could use this to help with their idea of heresy telling that the acts and opinions are or can be false teachings.
