    As you can see, in a period when Church was in the highest social class and the popes were the ones that ruled the world, they had the right to make rules that people had to follow in order to be Catholic.
    They invented a theory called heresy

    Heresy is the disagreement of a person that has another opinion about God, or The Church. And if someone is accused of heresy, they will have consequences, even death

  2. I am going to answer your question by saying that it is a teaching that goes against the truth of biblical revelation or a false teaching. The word heresy became most known when the Roman Catholic Church decided what was was right and what was wrong, or really what they thought was right or wrong.
    Heresy could also mean any departure from Christian orthodoxy which is a teaching, doctrine or practice that goes beyond the apostles teachings.
